Comment Tracking is Important
I was never doing “subscribe to comment” in each comment form that I left my comment. It was because I did not see any benefit for me to click “subscribe to comment” box. I thought it will only make full my email inbox with spam like message back then. I also thought that it was better if I directly browsed to blog that I commented for comment checking. I always could browse the blog and saw comment form directly, that was what I thought. But, now, I aware that I missed many good benefits back then by insist to do direct checking instead of check “subscribe to comment” box for better tracking trough email.
I already experienced disappointment for many times when checked blog in which I leave comment. I disappointed because I aware that I already missed some good opportunity to included in great discussion. And also I did not answer countless questions for me because I did not even know there are questions for me. It is because I always forgot to check blog comment form that I leave my comment – I even forgot that I ever commented in that blog. What a mess, right? And do not forget that how many questions that I already asked in blog comment that already answered but I never know the answer because I already forgot that blog comment. And surely, all of above things are gone with the wind. What a lost for me.
“Subscribe to Comment” for Easy Comment Tracking
But, thank to god that one day I ever bothered to try to check “subscribe to comment” in comment form. I did it only to prove if article that I read is right. The article tells me that subscribe to comment give many benefits. “Subscribe to Comment” can make us to track any comment whenever and wherever that we do in our blog walking. I am directly aware that the tips might solve the difficulties that I faced to track the comment which I already mention above. If so, I will never fail again know what happen according my comment in other blog. That was what i thought.
And guess what? After did “subscribe to comment” which is just needed little work for it, I become crazy about “subscribe to comment” since that. Yeah, I crazy about “subscribe to comment” and it is not only a hyperbole. I truly mean it. I always check “subscribe to comment” box in each my comment after that if “subscribe to comment” facility is available. I am crazy about it because i find that “subscribe to comment” really give a big benefit for my blogging life. I can deep include in conversation. And also I always can track easily if my question in blog comment form had been answer. And do not forget that I also always can know if there is a question for me in other blogger comment.
Conclusions
Commenting is really important part of blog promotional for blogger. Commenting really give a big impact for blog base on my experience. Of course, it is needed some work to have big impact from commenting. Comment tracking is a must for commenting optimizing. Comment tracking allows us to always know what happen to our comment so we will not miss anything from it.
It is really helpful if each blog have “subscribe to comment” facility. “Subscribe to comment” facility allows me to track my comment easily trough email. I just need to log in into my email and the messages on it can tell me what happen in my subscribed comment. I do not need to browse each blog just to check what happen to my comment anymore. And it surely helps me become more exist in blogoshpere because It allows me to have better connection with many blogosphere citizen.
So, my blogger friend, what are you waiting for? Please tweak your comment form by install “subscribe to comment” facility which will allow me to tracks my comment easily in your blog trough email.

I use ’subscribe to comment’ plugin long time ago. But I still prefer comment reply plugin – http://spblogger.com/2009/10/22/download-wordpress-comment-reply-plugin/ Reader won’t miss out any reply comment.
What ever the plugin as long as allows me to track comment, It is okay for me.
I usually subscribe to comments. It has become a habit. Like you said, we might miss out on important information or feedback.

I also use a plugin for that, and yes it is important also. But I never subscribe to anyone.

You lucky that you can remember all blog that you comment and have time to check it directly one by one. I my self do not have time to do that.
I too find it difficult to visit all my favorite blogs daily and check the posts I have commented on….
Subscribe to comment surely will help you to overcome that.
I don’t always subscribe followup comments because my inboxes are already so full. But I do check back to previous posts regularly.
That’s why i use gmail to subscribe. It is free and lot of space.
I do subscribe to comment because I want to look what others saying too..It increase debating among readers..but it does make our inbox full. How do I avoid this problem? Is easy. I just unsubscribe to any post when I feel that I have no more to say.

You can actually use ReplyMe rather than asking people use that plugin. It will automatically send a message to that commentators whenever his/her comments has reply. To get them back sooner, answer them right away. I receive sometimes a hundred of comment on other blog with this plugin
In this article i more ask other bloggers to have comment tracking in their blog because I tend to track my comment in their blog. About plugin, i do not mind what ever the plugin as long as it can make easy for comment tracking.
Btw, in my opinion, Using ReplyMe plugin sound like force the readers to track the comment even they do not want to.
same as you, i used to check my comment on other blog by directly checking the post, and see if my comment has been moderated or not or maybe got replies. But after reading this, i consider to subscribe to some comment page, so i can be more active to the conversation.
Yeah, you should use subscribe to comment facility. It makes comment tracking become easy.

I generally check the subscribe to comment box when leaving comments. I agree that you can miss out on opportunities to be part of a discussion in the comments which many times is more interesting than the original blog post.
There is a downside to subscribing to comments in that you can quickly fill up your email box with follow up comments if you are active in your commenting. My comment goal is 50 per week so you can see how quickly my email can get clogged with follow up comments.
Most posts quit producing comments after a few days so it kind of takes care of the problem. After a couple of weeks, I unsubscribe to the comments to those that generate a lot of comments for which I am not really interested.

One other thing that you can do to avoid the downside of subscribe to comment is use special email just for blogging.
I don’t subscribe because as you said it fills my inbox with all the replies from every person commenting, multiply that by the 50-100 blogs I read and comment on daily there simply would be no time to keep track of the incoming responses. I prefer it when the blogger has it set that I receive a email only if he responds to my comment.

Some blog use the disquss comment platform. And sometimes, they set the default to subscribe to comments. As for me, I am using the same plug in as you are using here.
And i always subscribe in your comment form.
Dana I have seen you active on my blogs.. I mean not only 1-2 comments but a whole bunch of comments.. One thing which i always take care of when posting comment to a post, which is going to be good for discussion … (Subscribe to post) else I never bother myself for subscription….

Unless the blog post topic is really enticing for me and unless I’m expecting some follow-up comment from the author or another commentator, I seldom subscribe to comment via email!
