If you this blog old readers, you should know that I always info about current Atahualpa WordPress Theme version which I use in this blogging tips blog. And now, I info you that this blog is using Atahualpa 3.4.6 . Yes, I just upgraded this blog’s Atahualpa WordPress Theme even tough this Atahualpa 3.4.6 is launched in February 11th, 2010. It is because there is no automatic upgrading available for this. It makes me thinks that there must be something that is not right so there is no automatic update feature. Therefore I postpone the upgrading and decide to see how this Atahualpa 3.4.6 is going while search the best safe way to upgrade.
It seems that this postponing take longer time than I thought back then. It takes three months exactly. It is surely a long time decision for WordPress Theme upgrading. Honestly. It is just because I already forgot about it in this two months. And now – in my peace day – I suddenly remember about this upgrading and decide this is the time to do it. Since there is no automatic update feature, I must go in longer way if compare with just four steps that I did when upgrading to Atahualpa 3.4.5.
Here how I do Atahualpa upgrading from 3.4.5 to 3.4.6
- Log in to WordPress Dashboard
- Go to “Appearance” and click it
- Click “Add New” button
- Put “Atahualpa” in search box and click “Search” button
- Click “Install”
- Click “Install Update Now
- The upgrading have been done successfully except that I need to re-download the header image.
Final Words
OK, this blog is officially in Atahualpa 3.4.6 WordPress Theme now. It seems that Atahualpa 3.4.5 to 3.4.6 upgrading is running smoothly even tough there is no automatic update feature available. I already proved it trough this blog so if you want to upgrade yours, just upgrade it and do not be afraid it will break your blog.
