Upgrading to Atahulapa 3.4.5 WordPress Theme
Yup, this blogging tips blog is using Atahualpa 3.4.5 as WordPress Theme now. I just aware of Atahualpa 3.4.5 release recently when try to mess with Atahualpa 3.4.4 function.php to make a great author box in each post. As usual, when we mess with function.php in wrong way, there an impact. The impact this time is that the blog can not be loaded properly, and because of it i do my search in internet how exactly to mess with Atahualpa 3.4.4 function.php in right way. Instead find the right way to mess with function.php, i find the news that Atahualpa creator release the new version which is Atahualpa3.4.5.
This new version of Atahualpa WordPress Theme is claimed :
- support for post thumbnails
- including theme options to control them
- fix for a issue in IE8 where more than just the next menu level was dropping down under certain circumstances.
So, i think that i better upgrade my Atahualpa 3.4.4 to Atahualpa 3.4.5 before continue to mess with Atahualpa’s function.php. And i find it is really easy to upgrade Atahualpa to new versions. The upgrading process is as same as WordPress engine upgrading or WordPress plugin upgrading – just click, click, and click. Here find how I do this easy upgrading:
Upgrading to new Atahualpa 3.4.5 version
- Log in to dashboard
- Go to “Appearance” and click it
- Click “Themes” link
- Click “upgrade automatically” link below the Atahualpa 3.4.4 theme information
OK, the upgrade already done successfully and take only four steps. It seems there are no big impact except the header image become default image of Atahualpa3.4.5 theme. I just need to go to Atahualpa 3.4.5 image folder and change it back to this blog logo image. So, it seems that Atahualpa really a great WordPress Theme which provide seamless upgrade process to new versions. Glad that I decided to use this theme back then.
Final Words
So Now, i must say:”Good bye Atahualpa 3.4.4 and welcome Atahualpa 3.4.5″ . This change surely will affect my Atahualpa 3.4.4 post series title in future Atahualpa configuration post. I may change it become Atahualpa 3.4.5 configuration in next Atahualpa configuration article. And the best part of this upgrading process is that I just need to click, click, and click – what an easy process. The additional work that I do after upgrading is only change header image back to this blog logo.
