However, I think the ProBlogger post about blogging tips related to Eminem is one of the example that we can use for this case. Even though the blog post is not controversial but it has the big name touch. I believe that post would have the more massive exposure if there is controversial side in it. So, be a bit controversial in your blogging and enjoy the power of social networking.

I get your point Dana as I was tempted to do the same thing earlier. You are currently topping Google.com’s first page on ‘Ariel, Luna Maya, and Cut Tari mega scandal video’. I thought, some time ago, that it would be great to increase my traffic level by writing on all the trending topics on Twitter. Then there was a choice to be made, should I sacrifice the quality of the content delivered (hugely web design and marketing oriented) to trending topics having nothing to do with the blog?
No, you should not sacrifice your blog quality for it. However, if you find a related controversial topic which include big name in it, I suggest you to write about it. For example, you can check Michael Aulia comment.
Yeah, I remember posting my screenshots on the Office 2010 Beta when no one has covered it before. Got more than 10,000 traffic in a day from big sites like ZDNet, etc. It was controversial for Microsoft and I had to take it off at the end lol
