Technorati.com registration blog is one of many tweaking way I do for this online knowledge blog. Yes, I register this blog to technorati.com for better result in blogoshpere. Technorati always be one of my choices to increase visibility of blog in blogoshpere. It is because Technorati is big service of Blog Search engine, Tags Aggregator and Online Bookmarks. That’s why Technorati can increase traffic as well as make our blog visible between tons of blog in blogosphere.
Technorati registration is also considered as one of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) . It is not only because Technorati is indeed search engine, but also because Technorati link is considered as quality link by others search engine i.e. Google Search Engine. There are also many useful services that are provided by Technorati for our blog. One of Technorati services is that we can know which link is quality backlink. This service is really useful for quality backlink checking. That’s why that some blogger only link you back if he can see your link trough Technorati service.
Ok, let’s register our blog to Technorati service:
- Go to Technorati.com and log in
- Click “Join” button
- Fill the form than click “Join” button
- Check the confirmation link in email and click it
- Insert the blog URL then click “begin claim” button
- Copy the code and post in one of our post
- Click “Complete Claim” button
Yes, Technorati registration already completed, we can see our blog status by go to “Blogger Central” tab, and then choose “Claimed Your Blog” button. We will see all our “Claimed Blog” list in there. All list of “Claimed Blog” mean that blog already submit as our blog. To optimize Technorati service, we must always ping to it each time we have new post. I use the WordPress default ping service for this online knowledge blog, pingomatic service, as Technorati ping tools. Pingomatic will ping Technorati service each time I publish a post.

Hi – I signed in to technorati site as advised above to reg my blog but once inside the site I can’t find the join button mentioned in advice post above. Trying to complete these steps listed here below -

Go to Technorati.com and log in
Click “Join” button

Looks to me like technorati is toast for the time being. They turned off their pinging service in Oct and they don’t respond to any inquiries from all the complaints from bloggers like me who had their blogs listed and are not.

You must try to be in first list of top ten in technorati to get traffic for these days. I suggest you try others social media such as blogcatalog, stumble upon, or blog engage to get traffic.
I too hardly get any traffic from Technorati, but as Dana decommends try services like Stumbleupon, Digg. Also try Blog Engage as its new and you can easily get in more visitors.
I have already claimed my blog on technorati, but my blog technorati rank is not so increasing. How about you Dana?
my rank also quite low, the authority is static even there are many backlink to my blog.
I am registered with Technorati but because I don’t have very many back links my ranking is very low.

Yah, I think so. As I know, technorati already change how they rank the blog.
@dana Are you sure your blog is still there? When I click on the Technorati logo in the post I get a 404 error for your site.

I love Technorati. Usually I use it to search for a latest news around the blog,.. just to get some idea for my post.. it’s a useful resource.

Personally, I think that Technorati is no longer that good service! It periodically has downtimes and as everyone commented, there are still lot of problems! My claimed blogs keep disappearing and reappearing all the time.
You right, Technorati service is not as good as back then but the rank is still considered by advertiser. Therefore, it is still worthy enough to get list in it.

Good info. I just found out about technorati today. It shows I claimed my blog, but if I click on the blog link under blogs I claimed I get the error message “Sorry, we can’t find that blog.”
Anyone know if this is this normal, or is it some type of error? It’s weird, because it has picked up my feeds and I see my posts, but I get this error message every time I click on the blog link.
It seems there are some problem that faced by technorati before. My claim blog is missing but now it is already back. Please try it again, the problem seems already solved.
Believe it or not, even after blogging 2.5 months, I still haven’t registered for Technorati. Seeing how quick and easy it is to setup, I will head over and do that ASAP.
You should try it friend and look how it is going affect your blog.

I registered my blog a long time ago..But there are some bugs on it..My blog just disappeared from my claimed blog list..It ask me to claim my blog..but when I click on it, it state that my blog URL is already claimed..I search around the forum and FAQ page..there are a lot of bloggers face the same problem..The worst part is technorati team is really hard to reply to the question posted by bloggers..Sometimes their system never update the authority..
Yah, technorati is not perfect tools though. It seems that the quality of technorati service is decrease but it is still worthy to have blog in the list.
