The latest WordPress version was launched. Yes, WordPress 3.0 was already available and ready to optimize for our blog. Indeed, WordPress is always the best blogging platform for me and I believe for many other blogger. However, as in title, I will introduce you with a great WordPress plugin which I believe perfectly match with WordPress 3.0. It can be said as a new plugin for a new WordPress blog. I will write about Best Blogroll – a useful WordPress plugin from Chris Guthrie of makemoneyontheinternet.
This WordPress plugin is surely very useful to bloggers whom into blogroll – yup, a list of link in blog homepage which usually put in side bar of the blog. As we know, Google may decide our blog is a spam site/blog if there are too many external link to same web address. A blogroll surely source of massive external link because the links in blogroll are showed in all of the page available. Best Blogroll is created to overcome this bad situation – a very bad situation for blog SEO indeed.
Best Blogroll WordPress plugin allows us to fully control the link juice flow of our blogroll. This plugin use the nofollow tag as controlling tool for link juice flow. We can use the three settings available to control blogroll’s link juice flow which are:
- Don’t use nofollow on any blogroll links
- Use nofollow on all blogroll links
- Use nofollow if current page is not home
The settings’ text surely already tell you the function of each settings choice. Yes, the first choice is to make all of blogroll links become dofollow in all regardless the page. The second choice is to put nofollow tag in all of blogroll links regardless the page. The third choice is to put nofollow tag in all of blogroll links while it is showed in other than home page. These three settings is surely enough to control your blogroll link behavior regarding to link juice flow.

This is a brilliant plugin, thanks! I just updated to WordPress 3.0 and added a blogroll to my sidebar. I wanted the links to be dofollow on the homepage but not the inner pages so this will be really handy for me! Julie

Interesting, but I don’t think I’ll use it because if someone is in my blogroll I want them to get the link juice otherwise i wouldn’t have them there.
Yup, it is no use if you want to give link juice from all of your page available.

Wow… now this is something tht i should see! Normally we have only 2 options for no follow… none at all or no follow for all! But this will give us some more flexibility!
