As you may already aware that I use baby plan of hostgator for this blogging tips blog. Last time i know that HostGator baby plan allow me to add unlimited domain by use Addon Domains Facility. This Addon facility is surely useful if i have another domain and want to create new blog for it. I do not need to buy another web hosting plan service for it anymore. And I think that it is a perfect time to use this addon facility because i have a new domain name that perfect to start my new blog. I share how i host this new domain b y using addon domain facility in this article so this blog readers can learn from it.
Add New Domain by using HostGator Blog Hosting Service Cpanel Addon Domains
- Login to cpanel page
- Go to Domains part and click “Addon Domains” icon
- Now we in “Addon Domains” page. Fill all form with needed information and then click “Add Domain” icon to apply it.
- Ok, the new Addon Domains is already created succefully.
GoDaddy Name Server Changing
Now, needed to change the nameservers in my register domain service ( i use GoDaddy). I feel the nameservers form whith my web hosting service (i use HostGator). The HostGator nameservers are NS2205.HOSTGATOR.COM and NS2206.HOSTGATOR.COM .
- Login to GoDaddy
- Click “Domain Manager” link to manage the domain
- In “Domain Manager” page, checklist the domain name that we want to use and click “Nameservers” icon.
- Choose host in another provider and fill the web hosting name server in Nameserver 1 and Nameserver 2.
- And then click “Ok” button to apply it. And do some checking if new nameserver already applied trough internet. I do ping to the domain and find the ip addres is already hostgator server ip addres, so all already set succefully.
Conclusion
If your web hosting service allow you to have unlimited domain, you can use it to save some expenses for new blog or site. Yeah – you do not need to buy new web hosting service anymore for it. You can use addon domain facility and you can have a blog or site in your current web hosting service. The first step of it is use addon domain to add your new domain in your current web hosting.

Maybe I will try Hostgator for my next web host as I heard many compliments for it.
I use Host Gator for my dedicated servers, so I know how convenient their services are.
As a note, for those wanting nameservers, you just put the server’s IP in the host name. Often you need to ask Host Gator if they can make sure you can have your own custom nameservers.
Hostgator is delivering a great web hosting service. Yeah — i think that IP as name server surely can work.
Btw, what do you mean by custom nameservers?
