Easy Theme Customizing with Atahualpa 3.4.4
Theme choosing is an important part that Blogger must do. Theme choosing can lead your blog success or fail. And, if you choose a wrong theme, Plase fix it as soon as possible. That’s what I do for this Online Knowledge blog. You should already aware that I change this Online Knowledge blog theme. Yeah, I change it from iNove theme to Atahualpa 3.4.4 theme. I want to change iNove theme because I find that iNove theme is hard to customized while I do not have deep knowledge in CSS coding. And it is surely not okay to let this blog only use default layout. It is not okay because blog surely need uniqueness in blog theme layout for better blog branding, and of course also for better reading experience.
Yeah, that’s why I really need a theme that can easily customize without deep CSS coding knowledge. I already heard so many time how good Thesis theme in term of blog layout customizing without deep CSS coding knowledge, but as you know, Thesis theme is a paid WordPress premium theme. Therefore, I pass it because I do not want to pay for having a theme yet. So, I try to search some free WordPress theme trough the net that allows easy customizing without deep CSS coding knowledge. As search result, I find Atahualpa 3.4.4 is perfectly providing my needs. Yeah, I find Atahualpa 3.4.4 allows easy theme customizing without deep CSS coding knowledge, and importantly, it is free. 
Atahualpa 3.4.4 features
As I already mention before, I use Atahualpa 3.4.4 WordPress theme because I need an easy customizing without deep CSS coding knowledge WordPress theme. And not only for customizing, have Atahualpa 3.4.4 also provided build in SEO tool which allow us to gain optimum benefit from search engine. I divide Atahualpa 3.4.4 features become two part which are Build in SEO and Easy Layout Customizing.
Build in SEO. Atahualpa 3.4.4 use “Bytes for All SEO” as build in SEO tool which we can always disable if we use another SEO tools such as “All in One SEO Pack“. Atahualpa 3.4.4 also allows us to set some SEO configuration trough “Atahualpa Theme Option” in our WordPress dashboard directly .We can set “Homepage Meta Description”, “Homepage Meta Keywords”, “Meta Title Tag Format”, “Meta Title Tag Separator”, “Noindex Date Archive Pages”, “Noindex Category page”, “Noindex Tag pages”, “Make Post/Page Titles H1″, and “Nofollow RSS, trackback & admin links”. I personally mostly like “Make Post/Page Titles H1″ features very much because it is really important to set Post title be H1 instead using H2. It is importan for better SEO result.
Easy Layout Customizing. We can easily customize our blog layout trough “Atahualpa Theme Option”. We can set “Overall Style & Config”, “Header Area”, “Center Column”, “Sidebars & Widgets”, “Post & Pages”, “Comments”, “Various Content Items”, “Archives Page” and “CSS & Javascript” trough it. We surely can make our own unique layout for almost all of our blog part such as post, link, widget, sidebar, writing, and many others by use build in Atahualpa layout features.
Layout Customizing
I do not customize many things from default Atahualpa layout in this blog yet. I only change some minor things from default Atahualpa layout such as change the default header image, overlay blog title in header image instead show it in different part, Use style in Blog title, use two sidebar in left, remove left and right opacity, show posts RSS feed link, show comment RSS feed link, show email subscription links, and change link default color. I think that all of these minor changes already give some uniqueness for this online knowledge blog. Surely, I will make some major change in future for this blog improvement.
Conclusions
Our blog surely needs some uniqueness in theme layout for better branding. It is hard to customize lay out if we do not have deep knowledge in CSS coding. That’s why we need to use customizable theme for our blog. Customizable theme allows us to easily customize layout without need deep CSS coding knowledge. We can customize the theme easily without difficulty of CSS coding. It is because Customizable theme usually provide features that allows us customize layout theme without CSS coding.
We can use paid premium WordPress theme such as Thesis theme to have customizable theme in our blog. But, if we do not want to pay for paid premium theme, we can use free premium theme such as Atahualpa 3.4.4 which I use in this Online Knowledge Blog. Atahualpa 3.4.4 has many features that allow us to customize blog layout without any CSS coding.

CSS and PHP coding is a must know when modify theme. I do my own theme modification. So far so good.
And i lack of CSS and PHP knowledge.
im a web developer, and i think that css knowledge is good enough if you just want to “MODIFY” a theme. I like to press on “web design skills” more in regards to modifying a theme.
But if you want to alter the theme’s behavior, then you need to php code.

You can learn PHP and CSS quite fast. You need to know some simple things while working with wordpress. By the way, I once had tried Atahaualpa. I change my blog layout quite often. Looking for an interesting theme.

Well atahualpha is a good theme. You need to work more with it. It looks like a defaulkt theme and there is too much space in your header part. I did use atahulpha for sometime. It is a great theme. I do know some customization of atahualpha. Let me know if you need any help

Looks good so far. As with many theme changes with established blogs, it’ll take a few days to get settled.
And i only able work for it in weekend, so the settlement time will be bit long.
I installed atahualpa to prepare for a blogging seminar on the theme a couple of weeks ago. I was impressed by how easy it was to tweak for a custom look. I still have some things I haven’t figured out yet, but overall I am pretty happy with the look. have fun!

One of the elements in your header is causing the Blog title and background image to become un-aligned when I browse your blog full screen.
Go into your stylesheet and look for the “.titleoverlay” tag and ensure nothing is set to “absolute” or similar.
http://earthtoblog.com/updatetk.jpg is what it looks like for me, when I make my browser smaller though, it fixes it and looks normal.
Let me know if you need any help with the CSS.

I have a very wide monitor so you may not be able to display it wide enough. Also try messing with your “header” options if you can modify it without touching the code.

should think about all the browsers. There are people that use multiple browsers so you should have the various browsers. Code looks different in dome of them. I ran into some problems when coding and my widgets were out of place in IE. I just gotten started with this but I’m running into a few coding problems with the site.

I have the theme I want for now, my next project is to figure out how to make a Customized Header Image. I want one of those really cool graphic or animated ones that everyone seems to have these days, but I don’t want to pay a fortune for it.

The new theme is simple and clean. I like it.
However, I think some pictures or graphics should make it more attractive though =)
