Why bother to validate?
You may think that this validation is not important. There is no effect for validation or not validation. If so, I beg for differ since I think it is important to have a W3C validation. It is because W3C validation means that our blog fulfill the web standard. It is also mean that our blog will show perfectly in different web browser. You should already knew that our blog lay out may look varying from web browser to web browser. W3C validation ensure the varying look through different web browser is not happened. Also W3C validation surely brings professional touch at touch blog.
Here I share how I validate this blogging tips blog through W3C Markup Validation Service which will validate our blog code (HTML, XHTML, and other markup standard). FYI, this blogging tips blog is already validated for markup validation service but not yet for CSS validation. I plan to work at CSS validation to so this blogging tips completely validate in near future. It is because fulfill the standard always bring good for a blog or website.
How To Validate for W3C Markup Validation
- Fill the “Address” with blog URL
- Click “More Options”
- Check “Show Source”
- Leave the other configuration in default
- Click “Check” button to validate
- If the blog is already validated (which I doubt at the first try), you will find below message:
- But, if there are some errors, you will find below message:
- Go to below and you will find validation output error message
- Click the line link
- The line link redirect us to error source as like below:
- Locate the error in the blog and fix it.
- As example, the line 441 error is because of the wrong br closing tag. I need to find this wrong code and fix it.
- Finish all the fixing and then click “Revalidate” button
- It is done when the re-validation result is success

Great post! I think that many people often ignore the benefit of validation if they don’t see a direct consequence. It’s great to see that there are still people willing to take the extra step for quality blog posts.

Fortunately I don’t have to do anything as my theme has already been validated by W3C service.
I haven’t checked the CSS yet but I believe in Elegant. I heard that site speed will be improved when we meet the web standard, there is nothing to lose.
This blog theme (the Atahualpa) also pass the W3C validation but the plugin and customizing is not. Therefore, it is still needed to check even though our theme pass W3C validation.
