Easy Sub Domain Name Creation with Cpanel
Sometime we need to create sub domain name in our current domain name. It is quite easy to have sub domain as long as your web hosting provider allow it. You can always ask to your web hosting provider about it to make sure. In my opinion, sub domain allowing is one of many reasons that we must decide when we choose web hosting provider for our web site / blog. We can also check directly in our web hosting cpanel page whether sub domain allowed or not. If allowed, surely you can see sub domains icon in there and you will be able to configure your sub domain name easily. Just click the icon to check.
Sub Domain Name Installation
Go to your cpanel page by browse “http://domainname/cpanel” trough your web browser. Find the Subdomains icon like below (in red color) :
![]()
Click the “Subdomains” icon and we will go to Sub Domain Page configuration

Fill the form. As example, I want to create BlogLab sub domain in letupdate.com. Therefore, I fill BlogLab in “Subdomain” form. If I create it, surely I will have new domain name BlogLab.letupdate.com. I also choose “/public_html/BlogLab” as my “Document Root”. “Document Root” is file name where all of site data will store. We must not only choose “public_html” as our document root because it will mix domain and sub domain data.
Then click “create” button. We will go to page that tell sub domain already create successfully.

I check whether the sub domain already successfully create with my web browsing. I browse “http://bloglab.letupdate.com/” and got below message appear in my web browser:

It means that the “BlogLab.letupdate.com” already successfully create and already can browse trough web browsing. After that, I just need to install web site on it. I can use WordPress as Web Site/ blog engine for “BlogLab.letupdate.com” sub domain.
Conclusion
If we want create sub domain name, we must check whether our web hosting provider allow it. We can create sub domain name easily trough our cpanel page. We always can create web site/blog in our sub domain name after successfully create it. We can use Fantastisco WordPress installation service for easy installation.

Nice guideline! Subdomain is great to separate a new category or a particular function of your blog. But you have to SEO from zero for that subdomain while Alexa don’t count it, it just gives the state of the real domain.
