Find Quality Friend at Twitter by Using Who To Follow Feature

Who To Follow TwitterIn case you still do not know, “Who To Follow” is the latest tool from Twitter, the biggest micro-blogging. “Who To Follow” is a Twitter feature that work as similar as Facebook’s “Friend Suggestions” which offers easy way to find other Facebook users that have the relationship with us. “Who To Follow” is claimed have better algorithm than Facebook’s “Friend Suggestions”.

Indeed, “Who To Follow” is a Twitter feature that suggest others Twitter accounts that may have the relationship with us such as people who we know, people that have some interest with us. This latest twitter feature is surely a big help to find related other Twitter accounts with the very crowded Twitter accounts – there are more than a hundred millions Twitter account out there. “Who To Follow” suggestion work base on several factors such as people you follow and people they follow.

I, my self, already tried “Who To Follow” features for several days and satisfy with the result. The suggested Twitter account is the quality Twitter account which means the account shares some relationship with me. I already found some interested Twitter account to be followed from this helpful feature. Also that I experienced and still experiencing the number increasing of people who follow me since this “Who To Follow” take on action. It means that “Who To Follow” feature offers benefit for both directions of Twitter following activities – to be followed and to follow.

We can find the “Who To Follow” feature at top right of our twitter account page. As default, there are two suggestions to be followed at it. We can directly click “follow” to follow the suggested Twitter account if we find it interesting or “hide” the suggested Twitter account if we do not want to follow. If we click “hide”, Twitter will try to not suggest it again in future. If want more suggestion, we can click “view all” at the top of “Who To Follow” feature. It will bring us to more of Twitter accounts that suggested to us.

The bad news is this feature is not available for third-party Twitter application yet such as Hootsuite so we need to log in directly to our Twitter account if we want to use “Who To Follow” feature. It is because the API for “Who To Follow” is not launched yet. Fortunately, “Who To Follow” API is at the road map to be launched soon so other third-party application also can provide this feature. It means we can find the suggestions directly in our favorite web applications, twitter management application, and PC/Laptop.
