My English is Poor Enough
If you already read some of my post in this blogging update blog, you should already aware that my English skill is poor enough, and yet i still dare to create this blogging blog in English and try to share my blogging knowledge on it. Yeah – I dare even tough my writing may not understandable or lost in grammar. And my blog may risk be isolated in blogosphere.
And you may wonder why if my English is poor enough, and I aware of the consequences but I still dare (or insist) to create a blog in English language.
I am sure that some of this blog readers wonder about it. And here I tell my reasons to take the risk – worthy risk indeed. Of course, you may not believe this reasons but what can I say? This is the honest reason – yeah, it is sure my honest reason.
The Reasons To Blog in English
I blog because my English is poor enough. I write a blog in English clearly as my way to improve my English skill – especially my English writing skills (including English grammar skill of course). I always love writing. I already wrote since child. I wrote many story and poetry. But – i usually used my mother language, Bahasa Indonesia, for it. I already have an success blog in Bahasa Indonesia language. Success mean that my writing skill have enough power to gain success in writing online (such as blogging).
This success that I claim, is proved by so many great discussion in my Bahasa Indonesia blog, and also proved by daily stable traffic on it. And my blog nick name is known around Indonesia blogosphere back then. Yeah – I may not success in finance term but it is surely a success in writing term. At least, i already used to deliver my thought in written form and accepted by so many readers. But – all of it is only in Bahasa Indonesia language.
Of course, I am not satisfy for just having success in Bahasa Indonesia blogging. I want having writing skill in other language and gain writing success in it. And the first thing that cross my mind that can fulfill my goal is English language. It is because English already become my third language. I already used to English in my college back then and use it occasionally in my current working. So, I think it is easier for me to blog in English. And also I think English will give more benefit for me. Yeah – English is international language by the way.
So then, i create an English blog to fulfill my goal to have writing skill in other language and gain writing success on it. I use blog to improve my English writing skill. And after do English blogging for about almost nine month by share my blogging knowledge in this blog and my telecommunication knowledge in my other blog – it is not only my English writing skill that improving, but the whole English knowledge aspect seems improving such as English vocabulary, English conversations, English reading, and others English related skills.
Final Words
And for all non English native speaker in blogosphere, i suggest you to dare blogging in English regardless how poor your English is. Surely, having an English blog will improve your whole English skills dramatically. I already experienced it. Of course, the whole English blogging activities surely help to improve my English skills but the most factor to improve my English skills is writing and reading activities. Honestly, i learn mostly from reading other English blog but of course i also do some serious learning from blog which specified share about English language knowledge such as englishpage.com and dailywiritingtips.com.

How soon do you need to see results?
How much time can you afford to devote to learning English.
How much money can you afford to devote to learning English.
Do you have a plan or learning strategy?

Your enlish isnt bad. I read a lot of bloggers that have English as a second language and even so that its their first language and they are worse. I have no issues with blogs that are poor writing skills as long is the content is good. Besides my writing skills are not the best either.
The more you write the better your skills will get.

Am sure your English will improve if you keep blogging, its not really that bad and if you use a word processor like ms word, the spelling mistakes will be at least prevented. Keep reading and keep posting, very soon your English will be better than that of native Americans

It is not our fault if English is not our native language and I admire people like you who is working so hard to express their thoughts and feelings using the said language. In my opinion as long as the thought is there, that is not a problem. Unless you are an American, or it is your primary language and yet, a fifth grader is better than you… Hahahahaha…
Yeah, I agree with your point that as long as our thought can deliver, the rest should be okay.
This is great one of the reason I started to blog was to help myself become a better writer. Even though I am from the States we still all have our weakness’s. I am a strong be believer in learn by doing.

Like you English s not my primary language so I a having a hard time. I choose to use english on my blog instead of my mother language so that I could practice it.
Why should I use my mohter language when I am already an expert on that?

I think it’s great that you write in English and I have always admired people like you who do that. I would never attempt writing in Bahasa Indonesia, although I did study it for awhile when I was studying to be a teacher.
