One day, I want to buy a domain for my new blog. I need it for more customize flexible blog. Yah, I already run out the customize space for my bloger.com blog. I want to learn about deep SEO technique implementation at my blogger.com blog, but it can not support. Therefore, I do some research in internet according this problem and found that Wordpress engine blog support this deep SEO technique implementation. So, I decide to use Wordpress engine for my new blog at that time. But, I still confuse between self hosting or just join the free Wordpress.com.
My confusing is not last long because I remember one of primary reason why I force to leave my old wordpress.com blog and chose blogger.com blog. It is because wordpress.com does not allow JavaScript and monetizes the blog. I can not even put the single JavaScript, not even a single try without error rejection. And the blog will be banned if try to monetize it. It really sucks if you want some bucks for all of your hard effort in useful blog content delivering to your readers.
Yah, it is clear that I choose to have self hosting blog with Wordpress engine because of the reasons above. First step of my self hosting blog try to find the most suitable domain name regarding my blog theme. I search the domain name that can describe exactly what my new blog is, and also msut easy to remember of course. I search suitable available domain in Godaddy as one of reputable domain registrar. I search the most suitable available domain name there.
I also do googling to find a Godaddy promo code before process the domain purchase. The promo code give worthy money saving. I make 30% money saving to buy the dot com domain name by use Godaddy promo code. Remember that we must have an account before able to use Godaddy for domain purchasing. So register first!
Here my steps to purchase domain from Godaddy:
- Login to Godaddy.com by use my account
- Fill the search box with the domain name and TLD which I already prepare then click “Search”
- My first choice domain name already use, so I do search for second choice domain name. And fortunately, the second choice still available.
- I check the selected domain name and click “Add and Proceed to Checkout” button
- Go daddy offer another TLD with same name domain, I click “No Thanks” button because no need to buy it.
- Fill the Domain registration form with complete data, then click “Continue” button
- Choose the most suitable domain preference, then click “Continue” button
- Customize Order form appear, I click “No Thanks” button because no need any.
- Review Shopping Card form appear, I enter the promo code which I already search before and click “Apply Code” button. The price change with discount price.
- Select paypal as payment method
- Check Domain Registration agreement box
- Click “Continue With Checkout” Button
- The paypal login form appears. I fill the username and password, then click “Login” button.
- The transaction by use my paypal already done
- I go back to my Godaddy.com account to check the purchase domain
- I go to “Domain” tab and choose “My Domain” from it.
- The transaction already success because the purchase domain appear on it.
I already have the most suitable domain name for my new blog now. Next step, I need to find the most suitable hosting provider before I can implement my plan to build a self hosting Wordpress blog. It will be enjoyable time to do the suitable webhosting search. And it will be more enjoyable for blog installation. Can wait for it!
