Importance of Contact Form
Contact form is very important for blogger in my opinion. Contact form allows our blog readers to email us if their have something to ask us directly in private way without we need to reveal our email address. It may deliver a great idea for our next post or deliver good guest post to us. And do not forget that Advertisers also can contact us trough our contact form. It is surely a big loss if advertisers can not contact use because our blog do not have contact form. I must admit that I made a big mistake regarding this contact form. I forgot to put contact form in this online knowledge blog when I started. Hem … who knows that mistake may already lead me to some big loss – who knows? But let it be, it is okay as long as I already aware of my mistake and fix it.
Fix The Mistake
I directly created a contact form for this online knowledge blog to fix my mistake before. I use “Contact Form 7″ WordPress plugin to create this blog contact form. I choose “Contact Form 7″ WordPress plugin because it is a most known Wordpress contact form plugin which is really popular among WordPress blog users. “Contact Form 7″ Wordpress plugin allow the users to manage multiple contact form and also customize it flexibility. “Contact Form 7″ supports Ajax-powered submitting, captcha, and Akismet spam filtering.
Install “Contact Form 7″ WordPress Plugin
- Go to letdupdate.com and login to “Site Admin” page
- Click “Plugins” Tab
- Click “Add New” button
- Insert “Contact Form 7″ in search box
- Click “Search Plugins” button
- Click “Install” button of “Contact Form 7″
- Click “Install Now” button
- Click “Activate Plugin” button
Ok, the “Contact Form 7″ WordPress plugin already installed successfully in this blog. Now, I need to do some settings and create the contact form page so the contact form already fully active and it can be accessed by this blog reader.
“Contact Form 7″ WordPress Plugin Setting and Page Creation
- Go to “Contact” Tab and click it
- Do some settings that is needed
- Click “Save” button
- Copy the contact form code
- Go to “Pages” tab and click it
- Click “Add New” button
- Fill “Contact Me” as title
- Use HTML method in post form
- Paste form code that copy before into it
- Click “Publish” button
The contact form page creation already done successfully. You can contact me directly in private way trough this blog contact form. There are many other customize tag that we can generate in “Contact Form 7″ such as captcha, checkboxes, File upload, and other tags. But, I only do basic setting for this blog contact form. Yeah – basic setting already enough to serve what I needs until now. I may activate others facility if needed in future.
Conclusions
Having contact form is a must for blog. It is a big mistake if we do not have contact form in our blog. Blogger can get many thing trough contact form such as post idea, guest post, or great deal without reveal email address to public. As WordPress users, we can use “Contact Form 7″ WordPress plugin to easily have the contact form in our blog. “Contact Form 7″ have many features that we can utilize to have a killer contact form for our blog.

Yeah, i do not get any spam yet, i just get some SEO offer but i do not count it as spam.
Contact form is the most important thing in building relationship with your readers. I use the same plugin and it is fantastic.
I do not know if it is fantastic because i only use basic setting yet but i know it is important to have one.
Contact Form 7 and cFORMS II is what I used to use before I converted to using a Google Doc form as my contact form, it requires no plug-ins (less overhead to the database) and tracks all submitted comments in a spreadsheet. I wrote a blog post about it if interested.
Google Doc form seems great, i will check it and thanks for this info.

yeah, i heard some good review of c form.
I always have contact form from the start but I haven’t found a contact form plugin that suits me. Now I have a temporary form embedded only. I will look into this contact form 7.
