Great post… i like to make one more addition…. its better to get the copy of the backup to your own PC as well, because if the entire server goes down with the backups… we are doomed!

Great post, as usual… I started to take a backup of my blog from the day my blog suffered from a disaster when there was some errors in it and none of my blog photos were displayed. I tried to do all I can but was unable..

I was happy that at that time my blog only had 10-11 posts.. So there was not much work to do….

a stitch in time saves nine, its important to keep proper backup of database and settings of your blogs as disasters can happen anyday…

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve had a blog hacked before, and they wiped out everything. I had a database backup, but it was more than a month old, so I lost quite a bit. Definitely a lesson!
