This Blogging Tips blog is just accepted as member in BuySellAds.com (BSA) publisher network. Surely it is a great news because i heard that not all of applicants is approved – it is hard to be approved by BSA indeed. Therefore it is a great news just to be accepted, right? And I am starting to optimize this new earning opportunity right away. By accepted in BSA publisher network, I can sell some ads space by BSA auto managing ads. What I need is only to put the BSA code in desired area – and others dirty work will be did by BSA. It seems a simple way to earn some steady bucks from ads, right?
And here I share what i do in first time – right after BSA approve my application:
Subscribe to BSA newsletter
Yes, It is not a mandatory. I surely can choose to not subscribe in BSA newsletter without any consequences but i choose to subscribe. It is because i think that each information from BSA is important to improve my selling in future. And i suggest to all new BSA member to subscribe the BSA newsletter in first step when their blog js approved. Base on my own experience in similar service – it is worthy. The minimum fill requirement are Email Address and First Name – others optional fill are last name and update pertaining. I subscriber to all information that available which are Advertiser Information, Publisher Information, and Everything Else (Updates, Tutorials, Alerts, etc).
Setup Ad Zone
After do my BSA newsletter subscriber, the next step is setup an Ad Zone. Ad Zone setup is about in where we will put the ads and what the type of the ads. There are two Ad types which are “Images Only” and “Text Ad+Description”. As my first trial, i choose to use 9 of 125×125, only image ads, and put it in below of header area and with $15 each as price — a reasonable price in my opinion. I fill all information regarding my needs for it in Ad Zone setup fill box and then click “Add Zone” button to apply it.
Add The BSA Code
The Next Step is that I add the Ads Code to my blog. It seems the code will related to my Ad Zone which i setup before. I click “Get Ad Code” link.
There are two codes there which are:
Code #1 Put after opening <body> tag of site

Thanks god that I use Atahualpa WordPress Theme so I can put the code – especially code#1 – easily trough Atahualpa Theme Options (ATO). I put the code in “HTML Inserts: Body Bottom” of “Add HTML/CSS Inserts” ATO area.
For Code#2, i also use ATO – i copy paste the code#2 into “Configure Header Area” of “Style & edit HEADER AREA” so the form become like below:
It make the BuySellAds (BSA) banner space is put right below of this blog’s header area – a great place for advertiser banner, right? 
And we can customize how the ads will appears by do some customization in BSA install add code settings area. I check the “Show Add Here” and “Repeat Ad Here” to show “Advertise Here” text in prepared BSA Ads space. I also do some CSS customization in Advanced Settings – Anchor Style. For the current BSA Ads space, I put the below code in Anchor Style form:

Do you have to have a certain volume of traffic before submitting? … or a PR & Alexa? at a potential $15 x 9 = $135, if steady is a good start to passive income. I notice that you have actually done some techie type stuff in admin area so am bookmarking this post for future use. This is something I would like to apply to after my blog gets higher up in rankings

Congrats bro! for many months i have been trying to get approved by buy and sell, but still not approved!
It take two time application for me. You may need to fix the site description to be accepted — that’s what i did in my second application.

poorblogger’s question is valid. Google has issues with some other ad networks and presentations (such as Yahoo ads). But as far as I can tell, BSA and AS are compatible.
Oh — i just know it — but i think BSA and AS should compatible because they are two different kind of ads.

BuySellAds starts showing ads only for sites above atleast 50k visits dude, I have been having it for quite a while, but no use, You got to generate tremendous traffic for getting some high price ads on BSA.
You may be right — it is needed big traffic to. I will check about it.

I’m using them for past 2 months and have earned $30 from them (yet to receive the payment though as their minimum payout is $50).
Interestingly, during the same 2 months I’ve earned over $120 via direct banner sales. Something, making me seriously think to drop BSA from my blog.
