i don’t give dofollow tag on my comment section, i just install dofollow top commentators widget. I’m afraid if i give dofollow tag on my comment section, i can be counted as linking to bad neighborhood.

I love to see blogs that have lots of comments and on my own blog too. I find it’s a good indication of a blog worth reading that’s lively and welcoming.

I love to see quantity of comments but also the quality and length of them so I much prefer a well thought out and valuable comment.

If you’re trying to stay a top commentator and someone passes you, as long as you comment enough times to get your rank back before Google indexes the page with you out of the listing you won’t lose any rank. Google usually only indexes once a week, so you have plenty of time to get your back link fixed.

Great info about appreciating your commentators. A lot of top blogger use this method. I agree that it is a really nice balance for Google and the Reader.
