What is Guest Blogging?
Guest Blogging is Blog writing in another blog — blog which other than your blog. It mean that each time our writing is posted in others blogger blog, it mean that we do guest blogging already. And in contrary, if we post others writing in our blog, it mean that the others also do guest blogging. And usually there are links within guest blogging article which point to blog/site of the guest blogging author which as identifier of the author.
Is Guest Blogging Great?
As you may already aware, there are many great bloggers (if we can not call them guru bloggers) write about how important is guest blogging for your blog – especially to increase your blog level to higer rank position in blogosphere. And i think all of them are true about that so i try to do my own guest blogging and even some of my guest blogging is rejected – especially by high rank blog – but some of it is accepted and already posted.
My Guest Blogging
When i write this article, there are two of my guest blogging that already accepted and posted which are:
- Life Philosophy and Blogging in which I write about my philosophy of life and how I use it in my blogging activities.
- How To Check Do-Follow Link in which I share three easy way to check whether the link is do-follow or no-follow.
6 Benefit of Guest Blogging
And here the 6 benefit of Guest Blogging base on my experience:
#1 Friendship
It is obvious that we make friend with blog admin while we try to submit our guest blogging article. The friendship make in guest blogging process and also after guest blogging article is posted. And if we lucky, we also make friendship with the blog readers after our guest blogging article is posted. Friendship always great thing in blogging – it make our blog have loyal readers and also we always have friend that will help in our whole blogging activities.
#2 Reputation
As you may already aware that reputation surely mean something in blogosphere. People tend to believe what you say and what you recommend if you already have good reputation among the bloggers. It also mean that reputation make to earning from blog easier. And we can get this reputation by having our writing in great reputation blog. Yeah — write a great post in great blog surely can boost our reputation to the highest level. And it mean that guest blogging can boost our reputation in blogosphere.
#3 Traffic
Yup, it is should be obvious. When I have my guest blogging is approved and posted in others blog, it mean that I introduce my self to entire that blog’s readers and if they are like my writing and curios about me and my blog, they will click the link within the post or in author bio part. It will bring a quality and significant traffic for my blog. It mean that I increase my blog traffic trough guest blogging.
#4 New readers
It is as same as the traffic benefit but I choose to separate it for better understanding. As you may already aware tht usually I share the same readers with the blog which post my guest blogging but surely there are also readers that not yet read my blog – or even blind to my blog completely. And since I write something interesting in blog that usually they read, they will interest to check what I write in my blog. And if they like what I write in my blog, they surely will become my blog readers in future and I get new readers trough guest blogging.
#5 Back-Link with Targeted Keyword
As you may already aware, link building is one of important part in Search Engine Results Page (SERP) improving. And we can do link building easily trough guest blogging since we are usually allowed to put link back with keyword to our blog/site. A link back with right keyword from good blog surely will become high boost or our blog SERP. It mean that I get back-link with targeted keyword trough guest blogging and it surely improve my blog SERP.
#6 New Fresh Approach
Since I write in others blog, there is a big possibility that I get feedback that I never receive in my own blog. And I experienced it for both of my guest blogging – I experienced new kind of interaction trough comment form in my guest blogging and I also get many useful suggestion from it. It is so true that my guest blogging give me a new fresh approach in my whole blogging activities.

It is true that guest blogging can take our blog to next higher level of blog rank in blogosphere. It mean that guest blogging really give much benefit to our blog – you can see six of the guest bloging benefits in this article. Maybe I need to improve my writing before go to other’s as a guest blogger

Great article Dana. I have yet to write a guest post on another blog. I have thought about it but haven’t done any research. One thing I would hate is asking to do a guest post and getting rejected.
getting rejected is common for guest blogging application so you should bare with it if want to do guest blogging.
Guest Blogging will give us a new audience and if you get comments you’ll see there a different audience with your blog. Wider audience great for your authority and reputations.

Guest blogging sounds like a great idea, but how do you suggest finding blogs that are looking for guests posts that a relevant to you? I have no doubt that guest blogging is beneficial to both sides, and might be willing to give this a try someday.
You can find it trough your blog walking — and you can find it trough google also.
I’ve done a couple of guest posts for other blogs and I honestly found it so much harder than writing for my own blog. I know there are many positives for doing it, but I prefer to just write for my own blogs. However, if I had the time I would definitely do more guest posts.

There are many blog that write in their post or page that they accept guest posting. I find them trough my blog walking.
Hi Dana, sorry to take so long with my comment. It’s been a crazy week but I made sure to make it. It’s not often I can say I agree with all the above but I really do. You make some excellent points here and all of them have proven to be correct in all my guest blogging experiences.
The only thing about guest blogging that is something you need to watch for is grammar and spelling. Sometimes this can be a turn off for many readers. I always suggest reading and re reading your content before submitting it.

PS. I have noticed also 2 things you could improve in your English speech:
1. You often say “he/she/it do/make/write”. You miss the ending “s”, because when you speak of some 3rd person in singular form you should say “he goes somewhere” or “it was amazing” etc;
2. You also can improve your speech with not repeating the words “yeah” and “yup” – it sounds not that good
If you’re serious about blogging, then you, probably, should really put your english grammar on the first place to improve! And you need someone to teach you

Yup the hardest to get yet it is the most important.
